This study explores the structural and symbolic functions of traditional ornaments, which have historically served both aesthetic and protective roles in various cultures. By employing a mixed-method approach that combines historical analysis with advanced imaging techniques, we reveal that ornaments are crafted according to specific cultural codes that confer functional properties such as safeguarding against environmental and supernatural adversities. These findings not only deepen our understanding of cultural artifacts but also suggest the potential for integrating traditional ornamental designs into modern applications to preserve cultural heritage and enhance the utility of everyday items.
