Project Implementation Analysis at the Integrated Lecture Building of the Surabaya State Polytechnic of Shipping

Abstract

The implementation of the integrated lecture building construction project at the Surabaya State Polytechnic of Shipping requires in-depth analysis to ensure success in terms of quality, time, and cost. This study aims to analyze the implementation of the project by identifying factors that affect project performance, including planning, resource management, and project control. The method used in this study is descriptive qualitative with data collection through direct observation, interviews with related parties, and project document studies. The results of the study indicate that coordination between the parties involved, namely related to land cleanliness, finishing processes, and work safety for workers, resulted in incidents during the implementation of the work. In addition, there were several obstacles such as delays in material delivery and design adjustments that resulted in additional time and costs. In conclusion, to achieve optimal results, improvements are needed in aspects of risk management, communication between teams, and project schedule control.
